Quick Intro

Doing things like paid surveys and earning rewards on GPT sites is just one of the many ways people are making some money online these days. Whether your aim is making some pocket money, or you are looking to make a fulltime income from home, the internet has truly opened the doors to so many possibilities.

These days we can all make money online 24/7/365 because the internet presents us with a global marketplace that never sleeps. I make great money online every month and it’s my aim to help others do the same.

While there are loads of real money making options and training platforms online, there are also a lot of schemes that are time wasters, money suckers or outright scams. We all have to stay aware of that and do our due diligence.

Product reviews, just like this one, are one of the ultimate ways to avoid the scams, because you get to discover what’s worthwhile and what to steer clear of. I created my website to help people find legit options, and that’s why I write so many reviews on here.

I’ve researched and reviewed quite a number of GPT sites, so when I came across Cash Crate, it looked like a good one to get into and write a review on.

So let’s now see if CashCrate is worth it or a complete waste of time.

What Is Cash Crate About?

CashCrate is yet another rewards type of GPT site. People join the platform and perform a range of tasks to earn small amounts of rewards points. It’s been around for a while now, having launched in 2006 and currently boasting some 7 million members worldwide.

The website claims to have sent out nearly $4 million in rewards since its inception, which in my opinion doesn’t really sound like a lot after more than 12 years in operation and the size of their membership base.

Anyway, these types of sites always seem to be immensely popular despite the small rewards people receive for their time, and it’s similar to sites such as Fusion Cash, Swagbucks, Earnably and so on.

If your goal is to make some real money online and not earn peanuts for your valuable time, then you’ll need to find something better than Cash Crate to achieve that.

I do affiliate marketing for a living, and it’s actually pretty simple when you follow some good training, which you can join for FREE!

CashCrate Ways To Earn

How Cash Crate Really Works

There’s no charge to join the CashCrate platform. It’s totally free. So the very first thing you need to do is create your account.

You will then need to confirm your email address and complete a simple profile survey. Once this is done you’ll be ready to get right into things. You also earn yourself a total of $1.50 for completing these steps. Just a little bonus to get you started.

Let’s now look at the various ways you can earn on the CashCrate site.

Completing Offers – Some of these are free, some are free trials, while others are paid offers. You have to be careful with the ones that are trial offers, because you’ll be handing your credit card details over, and if you forget to cancel the offer before the trial ends, your card will start getting charged.

Taking Surveys – Surveys are one of the most common ways to earn cash on sites like this. They don’t pay much (although better than most other tasks), but are pretty easy to do if you can get past the qualifying questions. One good thing with CashCrate is they seem to always have a lot of surveys available. The time to complete surveys can range from 5 minutes to one hour.

Watching Videos – No rewards platform would be complete without having videos to watch to earn rewards. This is a time consuming process that pays very little, and for some reason, earning by watching videos is restricted to people in the USA only.

Online Shopping – CashCrate has teamed up with 100s of online retailers, and when you make a purchase through the platform, you’ll receive some cash back, which is added to your account’s earnings balance.

CashCrate Interaction – You can earn small rewards or win prizes simply for socialising on the CashCrate site, being a regular visitor to the platform, playing games and entering contests.

The Cash Crate Referral Program

This is probably the most lucrative component of the CashCrate system. Referring other people to the platform earns you 20% of everything your referrals earn to start with, and as you bring in more people, that will increase to 30%.

I won’t go right into here, as it’s fairly detailed. To read up on exactly how it all works, visit their official page that explains it in detail.

There are 4 levels you can attain in the referral program, and if you were to join Cash Crate, I’d suggest focusing on the referral program.

  1. Bronze
  2. Silver
  3. Gold
  4. Elite

How Much Money Can You Make?

This is what it’s all about at the end of the day. Making money. So what kind of cash can we earn on this platform and is it even worth the time?

Unless you’re actively referring new members to the site, which in time could build up to pretty decent residual commissions, all other tasks on CashCrate will pay you very little for your time.

As an example, surveys might only pay you 25 cents for a shorter survey, or up to $2 for a really long one. Some of these surveys can take close to an hour to complete.

The rewards for watching videos is only cents at best, and completing offers could end costing you money rather than making you any cash.

CashCrate has also set their payout threshold fairly high at $20, so it could take quite a bit of time to reach it. Unless, and I emphasise this point again, you are actively recruiting people. That’s the only chance you really have of making some decent money with this platform in the long-term.

How Do You Get Paid?

CashCrate does pay out in real cash, and not just gift cards. Like I said, you first need to reach a total of $20, and the platform has payment schedules twice a month.

You can receive your payments by the following 3 methods:

  • Check
  • Direct Deposit
  • PayPal

Common Complaints About Cash Crate

If you search around to discover what members have been saying about this platform, you’ll actually find quite a few complaints about CashCrate.

I’ll very quickly list some of the most common ones:

  1. Poor customer support. No one at CashCrate seems to be too interested to help out if you encounter an issue with anything.
  2. The rewards are too small to really be worth the time you spend on the site.
  3. It can be hard to qualify for a paid survey, as you first have to pass the screening questions. Many people state that it’s almost impossible to actually qualify, do the survey and get paid.
  4. There has been some talk that CashCrate sells your personal information, and that when you join the site and fill out your profile details, you start getting harassed by all manner of marketers.
  5. Many members say it can take forever to reach a cash out level because it’s set too high and the rewards you can earn are way too low.
  6. When you join offers, you risk spending money that perhaps you didn’t intend to spend, such as trial offers that you forget to cancel. This is a complaint people have been making, but in reality, you shouldn’t join an offer unless you understand what’s involved in the first place.

Target Market

Sites like CashCrate are targeted at anyone and everyone who wants to make a little extra cash from home online in their spare time.

The problem is, these sites always promote themselves as an awesome way to earn decent part-time income, but when you discover what they pay for your time, there really is no feasible way to earn decent cash as a side hustle with this.

It’s a bit of pocket change at best, and really a very poor exchange for your precious time.

What I Like

  • The platform has been around since 2006
  • Their referral program is actually pretty good, and probably the best part about CashCrate
  • They pay in real money and not gift cards
  • It’s free to join

What I Don’t Like and Red Flags

  • The rewards they pay are really, really low and a poor exchange of time for money
  • There is talk they sell your contact details to other marketers
  • It can be hard to qualify for surveys
  • Video rewards are only available to USA residents
  • It can take forever to reach the $20 payment threshold
  • There is the risk of spending money on the offers
  • Reports of really poor customer service

How Much Does Cash Crate Cost To Join?

It doesn’t cost anything to become a member of the CashCrate platform, nor would there want to be any sort of charge with the peanuts they are willing to pay.

Is Cash Crate a Scam Or Legit?

There’s absolutely no scam going on here. The site is okay overall, but just pays really poorly like most of these GPT and survey sites tend to do.

In my opinion all of these rewards sites are a waste of valuable time, whether you want to make decent money or not. They just suck up a lot of time – time you can never get back – for very little reward.

The only good thing I can see on CashCrate, if you do want a chance of making decent cash, is to focus all your energy on referring others to the site, rather than wasting your time performing the tasks.

It might not seem like much at first, but as you build up your referral base, you’ll start to bring in some regular commissions, and this will be recurring passive income.

Other than that, the site is a waste of time, but definitely legit.

How To Make REAL Passive Income Online!

Lifestyle FreedomGPT sites and rewards platforms are never going to make you much money. If the plan is to earn some decent cash, then you really need to look for something else.

I make my entire living online doing affiliate marketing. Even though it’s more than a fulltime income, I don’t work that many hours to make the money.

You don’t need any tech skills to be an affiliate. Anyone can do it. Just follow some training that shows you how and you’ll make money.

Here’s a quick list of some of the benefits of being an affiliate:

  • You’ll enjoy multiple sources of income
  • Live the laptop lifestyle and work anywhere you like
  • You don’t sell as an affiliate, just make commissions from promoting or recommending
  • If you have a computer and internet, you have all you need
  • Enjoy having no limits on what you can earn
  • No more boss as you work for yourself from home

Because you’re not trading time for money, you can make big dollars with this. Many marketers just do it on the side to boost their incomes. For people like myself, while I like the money, I love the lifestyle doing this fulltime gives me.

Let’s just make one more quick list:

  • Work whenever you like as you’re the boss
  • Your family and loved ones will get to see more of you
  • Experience having both passive and residual streams of income
  • The internet is global, so you can make money while sleeping
  • If you like travelling, you can make money along the way
  • Move and take your online business with you
  • Enjoy the freedom of having time/money together
  • And loads more…

Whatever it is you want to achieve, affiliate marketing can make it happen.
