~ Inbox Dollars Reviews ~

A Brief Intro

Things like survey sites and GPT rewards types of sites can be an okay way to make some extra coin online in your spare time, but when you compare them to other ways you can make money on the internet, they really aren’t worth your time.

The great thing about the internet though, is there is no shortage of options. You can make some pocket money, handy part-time cash, a fulltime income like I do, or possibly even get wealthy online.

It’s all possible and you can make money day and night because you have access to a global market.

The negative aspect of the online world is all the scammers float around online too, inventing dodgy schemes that sound great on the surface, but end up offering little or no value at all. We have to stay awake to this.

I created Laptop Freedom Living to help people make money with legit opportunities and avoid the scams. One of the best ways to know what’s good and what’s not is to read product reviews like this one, and it’s the very reason why I write so many.

I’ve been hearing talk about InboxDollars for some time now, so I decided to look into the platform and write a review on it.

So let’s now see if InboxDollars is worth your time or not.

What Is Inbox Dollars About?

InboxDollars is a very popular rewards GPT (get paid to) website that has been around for a number of years now, since 2000 in fact. It’s similar to the ever-popular Swagbucks, Cash Crate, SendEarnings and so on.

The site was originally created by Daren Cotter and is owned and operated by his company, CotterWeb Enterprises, Inc.

These days there seems to be 100s of rewards sites and survey sites online, and people often join them as a way to make a little extra cash or gift cards in their spare time.

With something like InboxDollars, there is a variety of ways to earn rewards, simply by doing basic, everyday tasks that anyone is capable of fulfilling.

On the site there are activities such as doing surveys where you get to offer your opinion, watching videos, getting paid to read emails, playing games, cash back for online shopping and more.

Is InboxDollars a Legit GPT Site

Like I said, it’s no brainer type stuff that anyone can do, and some of it is actually quite fun. Things like watching videos and reading emails is stuff we do just about every day anyway, for free, so sites like InboxDollars allow you to actually earn some cash for your time.

The reason InboxDollars and other similar sites exist is because businesses and companies require vital market research, and tasks such as surveys provides these companies with the feedback they need.

To make things easier for everybody, companies pay places like InboxDollars to gather the research from its member base, and InboxDollars then pays its members small rewards for helping out.

You can make some pocket change with sites like InboxDollars, but you’re not going to make much. If you’re looking for a way to make some real dollars online, then just do what I’m doing. Click here to find out more.

How Inbox Dollars Really Works

Joining InboxDollars is totally free, and they even pay you $5 just for joining. Simply register a free account, then be sure to check your email for a conformation email. Click the link within the email and your account will be confirmed.

Now you can start earning money on the platform.

There are actually 10 ways you can earn money on the site, and I’ll briefly be covering all 10 of those in this section.

  1. Surveys
  2. Reading Emails
  3. Watching Videos
  4. Using Their Search Engine
  5. Offers
  6. Playing Games
  7. Learn and Earn Polls
  8. My List Tasks
  9. Cashback for Online Shopping
  10. InboxDollars Referral Program

Surveys

You must first answer some qualifying questions before either getting accepted to do the survey, or denied because you don’t qualify. Surveys are very easy, but time consuming, and they really don’t pay much for your time.

One thing I do like though, is the site lists the approximate length of time it’ll take to complete a survey, along with how much you’ll be paid.

Reading Emails

Basically all you have to do here is agree to receive promotional emails and read them. Once you’ve read the email, click a button at the bottom of the email to confirm you’ve read it and your account will be credited with a small reward.

Watching Videos

These videos are generally some form of promotional material. It’s pretty easy to sit there watching short videos, but you won’t earn very much for your time.

Using Their Search Engine

The InboxDollars search engine is on their own site and you can get paid simply by conducting searches just like you would on Google. This pays hardly anything, but the more you use it, the more entries into their sweepstakes draw you receive, where you could win $25 cash or even $50 cash.

Offers

These are generally free trials for products and services, where your credit card will start getting billed at the end of the trial period. You don’t have to sign up for these, but if you do and decide you don’t want the product or service, remember to cancel your subscription before the trial period ends.

Playing Games

This is likely the most fun part of the InboxDollars list of activities. You can earn money simply by playing some online games.

Sounds pretty cool. Right? You won’t make much for your time, but at least it won’t be boring. Most of us play games online for free anyway. Might as well make a little bit of cash as well.

Learn and Earn Polls

This is a really fast and super easy way to earn some coin. Basically you’re just answering a question in a daily poll, and it only takes mere seconds to do. You make some money and learn something new in the process.

My List Tasks

Basically this is about earning extra rewards when you complete a certain amount of given tasks on the site, such as finishing X amount of surveys, for example. It’s a bit like a to do list, and once the task has been marked off, you get paid your bonus.

Cashback for Online Shopping

This task is as simple as shopping online with the retailers who have partnered up with InboxDollars. Just access the retailers through the platform and earn cash back on your purchases.

The site lists the amount of cash back you’ll receive with each retailer. The rates are low, only a few percent, but better than nothing if you want to buy the product anyway.

The InboxDollars Referral Program

Rather than just spending loads of time performing tasks on the platform for not much money, you are actually better off dedicating your time and energy towards referring new members to InboxDollars.

For every single new member you refer, you’ll earn 10% of everything they make, so imagine if you could get 100s of active people to join up through you.

It’s definitely the way to go if you want to take your InboxDollars earnings to the next level.

How Much Money Can You Make?

InboxDollars Sign Up BonusYou’re not going to make much money with this, but you’ll have a far better chance if you concentrate on referring new members.

Anyway, for starters you’ll get $5 just for joining the site.

Things like surveys might only pay 50 cents for 20 minutes of work, and watching promotional videos is only going to earn you pennies at best.

Overall, you could basically spend hours on the site per day and walk away with only a few dollars or less, so not lucrative by any stretch of the imagination.

Build up that list of referrals though, and the story could certainly change over time and make this site more worthwhile as far as financial gain goes.

How Do You Get Paid?

As of this writing there are 4 ways you can receive a payout from InboxDollars, and these are:

  1. eGift Cards
  2. Charity Donations
  3. Check
  4. Prepaid Visa Card

Unfortunately there is no PayPal option.

Before you can request a cash out, your account needs to reach a balance of at least $30, which is quite high for a GPT site, where the competition only makes you need to reach either $10 or $20 to get paid out.

One thing I really don’t like is that when you do eventually reach $30 and want to cash out, InboxDollars charge you a $3 processing fee, so you lose 10% of your account balance instantly.

Target Market

If you don’t mind earning a few coins for doing some basic tasks online, then sites such as InboxDollars might appeal to you.

However, if your goal is to make real money, money that amounts to something useful and isn’t a major waste of time, then don’t waste your efforts on something like a GPT site.

Not unless you plan to focus much of your attention on recruiting new members.

What I Like

  • You can get paid in real money or gift cards
  • There is a good variety of tasks and they’re all very easy to do
  • InboxDollars has been around since 2000
  • It’s one of the better GPT sites out there
  • You get a $5 sign up bonus

What I Don’t Like and Red Flags

  • You will earn peanuts in exchange for your valuable time for most of the tasks on the site
  • The $30 cash out level is set way too high for a rewards site that pays so little
  • It can be hard to qualify for the surveys on InboxDollars
  • You have to log into the site every 10 days for your account to remain active
  • There is no PayPal cash option
  • People have complained of getting their accounts closed when they tried to cash out
  • There is a $3 processing fee for cash outs
  • Your personal information might be sold to other marketing companies

How Much Does Inbox Dollars Cost To Join?

It doesn’t cost anything to join InboxDollars, nor would it want to. You’re not going to earn very much money, and they also take 10% off your account balance when you request a payout.

Is Inbox Dollars a Scam Or Legit?

This website is definitely legit and, despite there being a number of negative aspects to it, it’s still one of the better GPT sites you’ll find online.

Personally, I think all GPT sites and paid survey platforms are a monumental waste of valuable time that you can never get back.

They simply don’t pay anywhere near enough to be worth spending time on.

InboxDollars is a good site for what it is, but don’t join it expecting to make any decent part-time cash, because you just can’t. Not unless you put the effort into referring hundreds of other people to the platform and making 10% off their earnings.

How To Make Some REAL Passive Income Online!

Lifestyle Freedom is Time and MoneyNow while something like InboxDollars might be okay to make some pocket money online from home, it’s really not going to get you anywhere financially if the goal is to make some decent cash.

I do affiliate marketing entirely online from home, working hours that suit me. It’s led to me making better than a fulltime income without the need to put in fulltime hours to do it.

No tech skills are required at all. In fact, anyone can do this. You just need to follow some easy training that shows you the right way to go about it.

Let’s glance at a few advantages of affiliate marketing:

  • Set your own work schedule from home
  • Work in your favourite cafe, in the park, anywhere you like
  • Affiliate marketing is perfect as a side hustle or to make a fulltime income
  • No money required to get started
  • If you have internet and a computer you’re good to go
  • Create many income streams for more security
  • Live the true laptop lifestyle
  • You have no limits on what you can earn

Some online marketers even find ways to make the big bucks because, unlike with a job, you’re not swapping time for money.

I make a really healthy living from my online gig, and I prefer affiliate marketing to be my fulltime money earner because of all the lifestyle benefits it gives me.

These include things like:

  • Spending more time with your loved ones
  • Generating multiple streams of passive income, the best kind there is
  • Live a harmonious life with the perfect balance of work and leisure
  • The internet is global, so you can make money 24/7
  • If you move or travel, your online business goes with you
  • Enjoy the freedom of having both money and time at the same time
  • And stacks more…

If you want your overall lifestyle to be different and experience way more freedom, then affiliate marketing can make that happen.
