Intro…

When it comes to making good choices about things online, reading reviews really helps. It’s the reason I write a lot of reviews on this site here. My website is aimed at helping people find legit ways to make cash on the internet, so I research a lot of training schemes and make money programs and write reviews on what I find out.

The internet is such a great place to search for opportunities. Plus, because it’s global, it means you can access people anywhere in the world 24/7. This is perfect for making money online.

The obvious negative to that is that many scammers are also online targeting those people searching for ways to make money. They invent shiny new schemes that promise the world but deliver nothing. We all have to be watchful for these parasites.

I kept hearing a lot of chatter online about Knowledge Panel and people were asking questions. That got me interested in digging into the platform and writing up a review on what I discovered.

So let’s now see if Knowledge Panel is worth your time or not.

What Is Knowledge Panel About?

Knowledge Panel has been around for almost as long as the internet itself, having kicked off way back in 1999. It’s not a rewards or “get paid to” type of site, but rather a platform that focuses on conducting market research through surveys.

Companies needing market research done create surveys and list them on Knowledge Panel. The KP members then fill up the surveys and earn small rewards for their time and effort.

The subject matter of the surveys could really be anything, as all manner of businesses need feedback from regular people.

Generally the need for the surveys is to cover things like:

  • Market research
  • Improving products or services
  • Data collection for advertising campaigns
  • Government surveys and opinions on politics
  • And loads more…

Surveys are okay to get started making a small amount on money online, but if you want the real bucks, then you’ll need to look for something different.

I recommend doing what I do. I make more than a fulltime living on the internet and you can too. Just click here for info.

Knowledge Panel Scam or Legit

How Does Knowledge Panel Really Work?

The downside to KP is it’s an “initiation only” type of setup; meaning you actually have to be invited to join as a member.

Another key point to note is that you have to be a US resident to join, and you also have to be aged at least 18.

Once you are accepted, it’s free to get started on the Knowledge Panel platform. The very first thing to do is create your account, after which you’ll be asked to fill out a survey of sorts that helps build your profile.

It’s important that you do this step as it helps the platform match you up with relevant surveys. The more information you give them, the more surveys you are likely to get. And the more surveys you get, the better, as you’ll reach the cash out level more speedily.

As a special bonus for new members, your account gets credited with $10 the moment you’ve been accepted and have filled out your details. That’s not bad for a survey site.

How Much Money Can You Make?

You’ll never make much no matter what survey platform you join, and it’s no different with Knowledge Panel.

As you complete surveys on the platform you earn yourself rewards points. The amount of points you get for completing a survey varies from survey to survey. Longer surveys naturally tend to give you more points than the shorter surveys.

The length of time it takes to complete a survey will partly depend on the survey taker. If you read slow and answer slow, a survey might take twice as long to finish compared to someone who reads the questions really fast.

As an idea though, surveys will generally range between the 5 minute mark up to 20 minutes, with occasional surveys being longer.

1000 rewards points equals $1.

In order to request a cash out, you need to accumulate a total of 25,000 points, or $25.

Now, at the rates of pay you get for doing surveys, and the fact that having surveys to complete can sometimes be few and far between, it could take quite a while to reach 25,000 rewards points.

How Do You Get Paid?

So we’ve established that you need to reach 25k points to request a payout, but how does Knowledge Panel actually pay its members?

Unfortunately there is no cash through PayPal option with KP. All their rewards are paid by offering you gift cards, or even prizes and products that are available on the Knowledge Panel platform.

Some of the common categories for gift cards and products include the following:

  • Knowledge Panel SweepstakesPersonal care
  • Fitness & sports
  • Apparel
  • Automotive
  • Luggage & accessories
  • Health and wellness
  • Beauty
  • Watches
  • Travel
  • Games & toys
  • Electronics
  • And more…

KP also have a regular sweepstakes where you can win much bigger prizes, and you can use your accumulated rewards points to gamble on the sweepstakes draw by buying more and more entries. It’s really not worth it though.

At the end of the day, this is a classic way for KP to get a lot of those rewards points back off people while only paying out a small portion in prizes compared to the number of entries.

What I Don’t Like About Paid Surveys

I’ve done quite a few paid surveys for various platforms in the past, but I really don’t bother these days. There are a number of key things I don’t really like about them.

One of them is all the qualifying questions you have to answer before starting the survey. I understand why they have them, but every time you get screened out, you just end up wasting your time.

One of the most common complaints with paid surveys is just how little they pay. On average, if you could do surveys continuously, you would be lucky to make around $3 an hour for your time, so it’s not much at all.

Another common thing I experienced was surveys encountering a problem halfway through, meaning you can’t finish it and get paid for your time.

Many platforms don’t actually have that many surveys for you to do, so reaching a point where you can cash out can take what seems like forever. And then there’s a waiting period to actually get paid after you do cash out.

But the worst part of surveys by far is the very low pay rates.

Target Market

Paid surveys are targeted at anyone who is looking for a way to make a little extra cash on the side in their spare time from home. The obvious downside is that the rates of pay for your time and effort are so low.

Still, surveys can be a good way for internet money making newbies to get their first taste of earning something online. But once you’ve had your first taste, if the plan is to make decent cash, don’t stay doing surveys for too long. They’re very time consuming and so not worth it.

What I Do Like

  • Knowledge Panel has been going strong online since 1999
  • They give you a $10 bonus as soon as you sign up with them

What I Don’t Like and Red Flags

  • Knowledge Panel is by invitation only, meaning you need to actually be invited to join after applying
  • The surveys they send out to you are few and far between, meaning you’ll spend ages reaching the cash out level
  • Chances are you’ll only earn equivalent to about $3 an hour doing surveys
  • Often you’ll get screened out of surveys during the qualifying phase, which means you’ve wasted valuable time for nothing
  • Only residents of the USA who are 18 or over can apply to Knowledge Panel, so pretty limited compared to most other paid survey platforms
  • Doing surveys over and over again gets really tedious and boring

How Much Does It Cost To Join Knowledge Panel?

It doesn’t cost you anything to join Knowledge Panel, but like I’ve said a few times, it’s by invitation only. So you can apply, but you may not get accepted.

Not that it’s a big deal anyway. It’s not like they pay any better than all the other survey platforms out there, so I really don’t know why they have that criteria.

Is Knowledge Panel a Scam or Legit?

There’s no scam here at all. Knowledge Panel is one of the more respected survey portals out there, and is often used by the really big businesses for their market research.

The company has also been around for close to 20 years now, so that more than anything proves they are legit.

We’ve already covered the negatives that are attached to doing surveys, but they can be a good way to get your feet wet when it comes to making some money on the internet. At least it shows you that you can actually earn online.

I really wouldn’t recommend doing surveys for long though, as they are essentially a waste of time.

And if you do want to try surveys for a short time, maybe choose a platform that just lets you join, and isn’t invitation only.

I Make a Great Living Online and You Can Too!

Lifestyle Freedom is Time and MoneyAs I’ve said, you can make a little spare change with surveys, but I’d rather recommend you do what I do online to make some really good money, which is affiliate marketing.

Some people refer to affiliate marketing as an online business, and it kind of is, but doesn’t have the complexities of most businesses. It’s more like an online thing to do, where you work for yourself and make money.

Anyone can do this. All you need to do is follow some training that shows you how. This will fast track your success.

Just to give you a bit of an idea of what affiliate marketing can achieve for you, besides just making money, check out the list below. It’s just a snap shot:

  • Experience a lifestyle of having time and money freedom
  • You get to spend more time doing what you enjoy
  • Have no boss and work for yourself from home
  • Earn multiple streams of passive income
  • Spend more time with your loved ones
  • Improve your financial security
  • There’s no ceiling placed on what you can earn
  • You can work from anywhere and even travel
  • And stacks more…

Some people just do this on the side to make a little extra to pay bills and stuff. Others, like me, have made a fulltime living out of it. It’s really up to you and what you want. I even know of affiliates who make millions.

Now while most people would probably say they’d like a lifestyle that has a lot more freedom, unless you are doing something that can make it happen, it’ll remain just a fantasy.

In order to help people learn more about it and get started, I’ve written a guide on making money from home with affiliate marketing. You can check it out by hitting the banner below.

Make Real Money Online.

I fully understand that not everybody knows how you make actual money with affiliate marketing, or even how it all works, so I cover that in my guide.

I really love working for myself from home online because of all the freedoms and advantages. I touched on some in the list above, but I also go over these in the guide as well.

I attribute my success online to the great training I followed that showed me what to do. I recommend this training to everyone who is interested, as it really is worth doing. You don’t even need to get your credit card out to get started, because you can join FREE!
