Intro
I’m amazed just how many MLM schemes there seem to be around these days. I mean, they’ve always been popular with people, but now there are hundreds and hundreds of these massive network marketing companies. There seems to be nearly as many as regular retailers.
Essante Organics very recently came onto my radar because I kept seeing posts about it on social media. Some people were promoting it while others were asking whether it’s legit and any good or not. I decided to do some research on it and write a review based on what I found out.
Laptop Freedom Living was created to help people find profitable and genuine ways to make money, with particular focus to making money online from home. For this reason I review a lot of training platforms and make money programs. This helps us all make good decisions.
I really love the internet because of all the doors it’s opened up when it comes to being entrepreneurial. And you can access a global audience day and night. The downside is a lot of scammers prey on people looking to make money online, so we all have to be careful what we buy into.
Congrats on finding your way to my review. It proves you’re one of the smart ones, and very likely you’ll never become the victim of a scam because you do your homework first.

What Is Essante Organics About?
Essante Organics used to be known as Essante Worldwide. This company operates in the super saturated health and wellness niche and distributes its products via the network marketing method.
The company kicked off back in 2004, so it’s been around for a while now, which is always a positive sign that it’s legit at least.
While Essante peddles health supplements and vitamins and so on, they have a bit more variety to their product line than some other MLM businesses in this popular niche. Essante also include things like skin care and home care products as well.
Having a look at the company and what they are offering, I don’t really see Essante doing anything extra special to differentiate themselves from their competitors.
There is a big focus on removing toxic substances and focusing on the all natural, no matter what the product. This is a good thing, as there are far too many unhealthy ingredients in the stuff we use, and especially in what we consume.
You might make money by joining this MLM business opportunity, but it’ll likely be a really hard grind. I much prefer the simplicity and profitability of affiliate marketing. It’s really easy to get started when you follow the Wealthy Affiliate training. It’s FREE to join too!
Essante Organics Products
As this review is more focused on making money with the business aspect of Essante, I won’t talk too much about the products. You can always take a look at their website for more detailed information.
I’ll just cover what’s on offer briefly so we have a well rounded understanding of what this company is all about.
As I mentioned already the company focuses on using natural ingredients for their products, with particular attention placed on achieving the right pH balance for products used internally and externally.
There are actually stacks of products available in the Essante catalogue, so there’s no way I’ll be mentioning them all here.
Product categories include:
- pH Nutrition
- Body & Spa
- Essential Oils
- Baby Care
- Home Care & Outdoor Living
Under each category there are lots of products. Things like home cleaning products, supplements, weight loss products, essential oils and diffusers and more.
These products are super expensive to be honest. As an example a protein shake with a 28 day supply costs just over $100 retail.
There are reasons why the products in MLM are super dear, and I explain why in the next section.
Why Are MLM Products Always So Expensive?
If you ever ask a rep of a MLM company why the price of a product is so much more than everything else out there that’s similar, they’ll nearly always come back with a rehearsed response about how the product is either so much better quality, or contains some super duper ingredient.
These are not the real reasons though.
Because of the way MLM compensates its members, they have to charge exorbitant prices. MLM is all about team building and creating downlines. When a sale is made somewhere down the line, commissions have to be paid out on that sale all the way up to the very top, including the company itself.
To make a profit and to cover this stream of commissions, a network marketing company has to really stack the prices or no one makes any money.
This is the reason why the prices are always super high.
They can’t tell you the real reason though, because that would just sound like they’re ripping people off.

The Essante Organics Compensation Plan
With multi level marketing there are always 2 main ways that members can earn money:
- Retail sales
- Recruitment
When you sell Essante’s products to others, you stand to earn a 30% profit mark up. Likewise, if you want to buy some products for yourself or as a gift, you get them at 30% off the regular retail price.
The money in MLM is not in direct sales though. It’s the recruitment and moving up the company ranks that puts you in a far better position to make the real cash.
It takes a hell of a lot of time and energy to recruit and build an active sales team under you, but it’s seriously the only true way to succeed at MLM, whether it’s Essante or another company.

Essante Organics Income Disclosure Statement
Unfortunately I couldn’t find an income disclosure for Essante Organics.
By law all MLM schemes are supposed to include access to a recent income disclosure statement on their websites, so people can get an idea of what the average distributor is earning.
I like to add this information to my reviews when I can, but I have no information for Essante and what the probable earnings might be.
The very fact that they refuse to include a copy on their website is not a positive sign that people are making good money.
The MLM Business Opportunity
I’ve been involved in a few MLM deals over the years, but I really don’t bother anymore, because the deal is a really poor one for distributors. It really is one of the worst ways to try and make some money, especially decent money.
There are some very good reasons why so many companies are choosing the MLM method of product distribution over retail these days. There are just so many benefits in it for them.
The biggest one is the money these companies save on employing people and having to pay them wages and salaries. With the MLM method, companies like Essante can build massive workforces that all work for free basically, only earning commissions (and sometimes bonuses) when actual sales are made.
The distributors even have to pay all their own business expenses. Essante pays for none of that. They save bucket loads in wages, and also save money on marketing because it’s the distributors that do the majority of that as well.
Distributors are just unpaid sales rep who actually have to pay the company for the right to sell their products.
What kind of deal is that?
Now let’s talk about the need to recruit to really get anywhere in MLM. Because of this requirement, the distributors also expand and grow the company without the company having to devise ways or spend money to achieve growth.
All of this adds up to a hell of a deal for Essante, but a really shitty one for its workers. And why wouldn’t a company use the MLM model when there are so many plusses? It’s just smart business.
MLM is always over-hyped too, where you’ll be dazzled with promises of wealth and opulent lifestyles when you attend their meetings. Hardly anyone (less than one percent) of people in multi level marketing ever even get close to this kind of life.
Most people make either zero money or zero profit.
You will also be told that when you join you will have your very own business. No, no you wont. You don’t and won’t own a thing except the products you buy. The company controls everything and maintains ownership of everything.
You can’t walk away and sell your MLM distributorship. It just doesn’t happen because you don’t actually own anything to sell (except products).
One more thing that really sucks is that most of these companies insist that the distributors have to either sell or purchase X amount of product each and every month to remain eligible to earn. Essentially this makes the workers the main customer base as well.
I can’t see how anyone could really think MLM is a great idea if you want to make good money. It’s awesome for the company, but they really are just exploiting their workforce big time.

Is Essante Organics a Pyramid Scheme?
A lot of people are quick to call MLM companies pyramid schemes because they operate with a pyramid shaped compensation structure.
Now while I’m not a big fan of MLM, I’ll still be honest and fair.
Most MLM schemes are not operating as illegal or naked pyramid schemes, and I’ll explain why.
To be a naked pyramid scheme (the illegal variety), a scheme has to rely entirely on recruitment and the injection of money from new members to keep it going. It’s also these new members that pay the profits of previous members and the company.
Illegal pyramid schemes don’t have any real products either.
Essante does rely on recruitment, but they have stacks of products for sale, so cannot be classified as an illegal pyramid operation.
Target Market
It’s always been popular with the masses because with MLM everything is already set up and ready to go. For people looking to get involved in something, they don’t have to create products or even start a real business.
It’s kind of like a business in a box, however it’s not an easy way to make money by any means, and hardly anyone is ever lucky enough to earn an actual living from being a MLM distributor.
The other downside is people join because they think they ARE getting a business, when in reality they’re just paying the company for the right to be an unpaid sales rep for them.
It still blows my mind why people want to get involved in schemes like this.

- There are lots of products, and more than just health and wellness
- There is a strong focus on all natural and non toxic ingredients
- The company has been around since 2004
- You get a website to help with sales and recruiting

What I Don’t Like and Red Flags
- MLM is one of the hardest ways to make decent income
- The prices of the products are really, really high
- With MLM all the benefits go to the company and are stripped from the distributors
- About 95% of people who get involved in network marketing fail to ever make a profit
- The health and wellness niche is by far and away the most saturated category in MLM
- Recruiting is the only way to get ahead, and if you can’t do it, you’ll fail miserably with Essante
- It’s expensive to get started in this one
- Very unrealistic income claims, as well as stating you will only need to work about 10 hours a week to create lifestyle freedom
- The website you get is just a replica site and won’t get rankings in Google, therefore it won’t get any free search engine traffic
How Much Does Essante Organics Cost To Join?
To get started you have to pay a joining fee of $29.95. This is what I mean by having to pay the company for the right to work for them without pay.
On top of that you are required to purchase one of their product kits, which you’ll need anyway, so you can demonstrate the product and get people interested in joining the business. The price of these kits starts at $199 minimum. The most expensive one is $499.
Is Essante Organics a Scam Or Legit?
Essante Organics is not a scam. It’s just your typical MLM deal where the company gets all the benefits and has its army of distributors running around all over the world peddling super expensive products in a super competitive niche.
It’ll cost you some bucks to get started, and if you did decide to join, don’t focus on selling products. There’s no real money in that and no future in MLM focusing on product sales.
You need to target nearly all of your attention on recruiting and climbing those company ranks. It’s the only way to succeed, but it’s really tough.
I don’t recommend it. There are far easier and better ways to make money.
This Is How I Make My Living Online!
I much prefer the simplicity of affiliate marketing over multi level marketing. I’ve done both and affiliate marketing wins on just about all levels in my opinion and experience. Anyone can be successful when you are shown how.
Affiliate marketing costs nothing to get started, you don’t pay membership fees, you don’t buy products and then have to sell them, you don’t need to recruit to make decent money, and you can run your affiliate marketing business from home.
You also build up an asset that you can later sell, especially if you build a website. This is something your can never do in MLM.
There’s no limit to how much you can earn as an affiliate, and over time you end up creating multiple sources of residual and passive income.
What this gives you is financial security, plus the freedom lifestyle of having both money AND time.
It doesn’t matter if the goal is some extra cash on the side, or you want to work on this fulltime, it’s all possible. Some people have even amassed small fortunes as affiliate marketers.
