~ Toluna Surveys Reviews ~
There is a really good reason why I research and write so many product reviews on my Laptop Freedom Living site. I want to help people make good choices when they’re searching for ways to make money, especially on the internet. That’s why all my reviews are either on make money schemes, or training programs that help you make money.
More and more people every single day are turning to cyberspace to seek out ways to make part-time or fulltime money and beyond. The internet has really opened everyone up to a worldwide marketplace that goes non-stop day and night.
These days we can all make money from home, and it’s never been that way before.
Unfortunately the scammers of the world aren’t stupid. They know how many people are going online in search of extra money or even a fortune, so they create bogus schemes to fleece people of their cash. We always have to stay alert to this.
That’s where reviews can really help.
I’ve done surveys before over the years, so when Toluna came onto my radar screen, I just had to look into it and write a review on the platform.
Let’s now see if Toluna Surveys is any good.
Surveys pay peanuts. Make REAL money online!. Click below for info…
What Is Toluna Surveys About?
Toluna Surveys is a paid survey platform that’s been around for ages now. I’ve seen some people online claiming it’s a scam, but it’s not. It’s a legit platform, no doubt about it.
So why do so many survey platforms exist online these days?
Because businesses need important market research, and one of the very best ways to neatly gather and collate that research is through conducting surveys.
Companies don’t have the time or the resources to find enough survey participants, so the easiest way to get their survey quotas filled is to team up with a platform like Toluna, which has a membership all ready and waiting to do surveys for small rewards.
Toluna Surveys operates in a number of different countries and they have websites that are country specific; meaning if you live in the USA you access the USA Toluna site. If you live in Australia, you use the Australian version of Toluna and so on.
Virtually every country is covered. This company has been around for a long time and they are huge.
The platform is slightly different from some other survey sites in the way they offer more than just surveys, although surveys are at the core of the site. They also have things like daily polls where you answer one simple question to earn points, and various other daily deals.
If your goal is to make a decent income on the internet, then you just won’t achieve it by spending your time doing surveys on Toluna or any other survey platform.
Instead, do what I do to make passive income online. Click here for info.
How Does Toluna Surveys Really Work?
The very first thing you need to do is create a free account with Toluna Surveys. You can either do this on their website, or via their IOS and Android apps.
You’ll then need to spend a few minutes completing a profile survey. This is important because it allows Toluna to learn more about you and your interests so they can match you up with relevant surveys, so don’t skimp on this part.
Now that you’re in your account will be credited immediately with 500 rewards points as a sign up bonus.
Surveys will be sent to your email address, but on the platform there is a section where you can answer “Quick Surveys”. These surveys are super short and don’t pay very much. The longer surveys that pay better are the ones they email to you.
Earning Rewards Points
Surveys can earn you anywhere from 15 points right up to 20,000 points, depending on the length. The Quick Surveys may only take one minute, where the longest surveys could span half an hour or so.
You can also earn points for product testing. You’ll be sent the products to test and get to keep the products. These opportunities don’t happen very often though.
Other ways you can earn very small amounts of points are:
- Mini Polls – Answering one simple question
- Battles – Write about why you like one thing over another
- Thumb It – Get votes on photos you add to discussions
Toluna also has a referral program where you can earn 500 points for every new member you send to the platform.
How Much Money Will You Make?
The sad news is, you won’t be earning much. You just never do with surveys. That’s just the way it is in this industry and why I don’t fully recommend doing them.
3000 rewards points with Toluna only equals $1.
So that makes you 500 points just for joining look pretty miniscule. The same with the 500 for referring new members.
We mentioned earlier that occasionally a survey can pay “up to” 20,000 points, but most surveys are going to be paying way less than that; maybe around 3000 points or less from what I can gather. And that’s for a 20 minute survey
Although Toluna Surveys does have some good points, at the end of the day doing surveys is about making money, and unfortunately Toluna lets everyone down in that department in a big way.
It’s one of the lowest paying survey sites I’ve ever seen.
How Do You Get Paid?
Okay, one good thing about Toluna is they pay out in real money as well as offering the gift card option.
In order to redeem rewards points for gift cards that are valued at $10, you’ll need to first amass 30,000 points.
The minimum for a cash payment with PayPal is $30, which is a massive 90,000 rewards points!
That’s gonna take a hell of a lot of surveys to reach 90k points.
What I Don’t Really Like About Paid Surveys
Even though I used to do surveys, I really don’t bother anymore, and the main reason for that is the very first thing I’ll talk about below.
They simply just don’t pay anywhere near well enough for the amount of time you spend doing them.
The low pay is the most common complaint you’ll found out there about paid surveys. Just about all of them pay peanuts. My time’s more valuable than that.
Another annoying thing can be the series of qualifying questions surveys all start off with. I mean, they need to screen people to get the right participants, but when you answer 10, 15, sometimes over 20 questions and then get told you didn’t qualify, that’s highly annoying.
On most platforms you don’t get paid anything for your time if you get screened out (Toluna pays a little), and sometimes there are way too many screening questions.
Surveys can also suffer from glitches on a fairly regular basis too, and then you can’t finish them and get paid. More wasted time.
As if surveys aren’t very much a waste of time already.
Often when you first join a platform you’ll get surveys regularly, then after a week or two they come in at a trickle. It ends up taking forever to reach a level where you can request a cash out.
A lot of people look at doing surveys or joining a rewards type site when they’ve never made money online before. And yes, it can be a good way to break the ice and get your first taste of internet earnings.
At least it proves that making money online is real, even if it’s just small amounts.
Therefore surveys are really aimed at people with some spare time online looking to turn that time into some loose change. You won’t really make more than that.
If your goal is to find something that makes a real income, then don’t bother wasting your valuable time doing paid surveys.
What I Do Like
- Toluna Surveys is massive and available in most countries
- The company has been around for a long time
- Toluna actually give you “some” points even if you get screened out of a survey, which most platforms don’t do
- You can earn points in a variety of ways and not just through surveys
- There is a referral program
- You can get paid in real cash
What I Don’t Like and Red Flags
- You really don’t get paid very much for the surveys you complete
- There are a lot of complaints online about Toluna Surveys
- It’s one of the lowest paying survey sites there is
- Sometimes there are delays with getting paid
- Doing surveys again and again gets really boring and tedious
- The site is known to suffer from glitches
How Much Does It Cost To Join Toluna Surveys?
It doesn’t cost anything to join Toluna Surveys as a survey taker, but you seriously won’t make much out of it.
If you ever do come across an alleged paid survey site that does ask for a joining fee, don’t touch it. None of the reputable sites charge their members.
Is Toluna Surveys a Scam or Legit?
Toluna has been around for a very long time and they are a massive, global survey platform. They are not a scam and totally legit, however, the company does have a few issues that most survey companies suffer from.
The biggest problem with Toluna is the rates they pay. They are terrible. Really bad.
Despite Toluna Surveys having some good points, I can’t really recommend giving it a go simply because of how low they pay, more than anything else.
