What Is iPoll About?

There are loads and loads of paid survey platforms online these days, and that number only seems to be increasing each year. iPoll is yet another one, and although they have a fairly new name, the company has been around for a while and used to be called “Survey Head”, which started up back in 2008.

One of the really good things about iPoll is it’s a global platform. Participating in their surveys to earn some cash isn’t restricted to one or two countries like some other platforms are.

So why are there so many paid survey sites online anyway? What’s the deal with that?

The reason these sites exist is because more and more businesses, government departments, manufacturers and so on need to gather data and market research. This is particularly the case with so much happening online in the modern world.

One of the best ways to collect and collate data is by conducting surveys.

Now rather than companies going out and trying to find enough relevant people to complete the surveys, they team up with a survey platform that acts as the link between the company needing data, and people looking to earn some coin online.

Business A has a survey that they want 50 participants for. They contact iPoll, and iPoll matches up 50 relevant people to take the survey.

The company gets its data, pays iPoll for the help, and then iPoll pays you for your time in completing the survey.

Everybody wins.

To a point anyway. Surveys never pay much, not even enough to make it a decent side hustle. And it’s slow. You’re far better off doing what I do to make really good passive income online. Click here to check it out.

How iPoll Really Works

It’s totally free to join iPoll, and when you do, it’s important that you’re thorough when you fill out your profile. Answer all the questions, as it’s these answers they use to match you up with surveys. The more complete your profile is, the more surveys you’ll be given.

Also, as soon as you open your iPoll account, you’ll be instantly credited with a bonus $5 to get you started.

You’ve got several options for completing surveys. You can either do them on a computer via the iPoll website, or download the smartphone and tablet app for both IOS and Android. This means you can complete surveys on the go at any time.

Every time you successfully finish a survey, your account will be credited with the promised reward amount.

Doing paid surveys is all super basic. Anyone can do them. It’s dead easy.

You can also participate in what they call “New Item Scavenger Hunts”. This is for people using the mobile app, and is only open to US residents. But if you live in America, it’s another way to earn rewards with the company.

How iPoll Works

How Much Money Can You Make?

The honest answer is that you won’t be making much. I mean, even if you were a member of loads of survey platforms and did surveys all day long, you’re still only going to earn a part-time income at best for putting in more than fulltime hours.

Anyway, let’s see what iPoll does pay its participants.

The length of time it takes to complete surveys can range anywhere from 5 minutes and up to half an hour. Obviously the longer surveys will pay more than the shorter surveys.

Expect to earn from 50 cents up to $3 per survey, depending on length. The average is probably somewhere around the $1.50 mark.

As you can see, you’re not going to make a living doing surveys from home.

Getting Paid

Just about every survey platform will have an amount you need to reach before you can request to be paid. Usually this threshold is set at either $10 or $20.

With iPoll, if you want to be paid in cash via PayPal, the payment threshold is a massive $50!

You can opt to receive gift cards instead, and you only have to reach $15 to cash out for this option.

Another thing to note too. Regardless of how you decide to get paid (cash or gift cards), it can take nearly a month to receive it. That’s a long time to wait, after spending maybe months building your account up to the threshold.

One other thing iPoll offers is entries into their quarterly sweepstakes draw, where you have a chance to win a cool $10,000.

Some Negatives About Doing Paid Surveys

I’ve done a number of surveys in the past, and for most survey platforms there are a few things that aren’t so great.

The biggest complaint by far would have to be the amount of money you get paid for your time (if the site even pays in money). On some survey sites you could make as little as $2 or $3 an hour for your time.

Just about every survey will start off with a series of screening questions, and if you don’t qualify to complete the actual survey itself, you get paid nothing. The good news is that iPoll does still give you something. Most survey platforms don’t.

Surveys can sometimes suffer from technical glitches part way through, and if that happens and you can’t finish it, again you’ve wasted time and all for nothing.

It can take a while to reach a payment threshold too, and even then you are often made to wait for weeks before you actually get your money, in some cases that can be months.

Anyway, I just thought these points were worth mentioning.

Target Market

I think surveys are an okay way to get started earning some money online. If you never have, then getting paid by a survey site in real cash makes it believable and real.

Newbies is not the only target market of survey platforms. Many people who do surveys are not actively seeking out a new income stream. It’s just something to do in their spare time for some pocket money.

If your goal is to make real money online though, don’t waste valuable time doing surveys for too long.

What I Like

  • It’s totally free to join
  • You receive a $5 bonus on sign up
  • iPoll is a global survey site and not restricted to the USA only
  • You can get paid out in real cash as well as gift cards
  • Complete surveys on your computer of mobile device
  • You still get paid something when screened out of a survey

What I Don’t Like and Red Flags

  • The amount you get paid for doing the surveys is not very much
  • Once reaching a payment threshold, it can still take close to a month to get paid
  • The payout minimum for cash is set at $50, which is way too high
  • Very low user rating on Survey Police

How Much Does iPoll Cost To Join?

You don’t need to pay anything to join iPoll and start earning rewards doing surveys. In fact, they pay YOU $5 just for joining.

Is iPoll a Scam Or Legit?

iPoll is definitely not a scam. It’s a legit company that first started more than a decade ago and is still going strong.

You’ll always find lots of complaints online about paid survey platforms, and that’s usually because they just don’t pay enough.

iPoll doesn’t really seem to be offering anything different or better than the myriad of other survey platforms out there. It appears to be a solid, stock standard survey site where you’ll basically earn peanuts in exchange for your time.

Not a bad way to get started earning your first dollars online, but definitely not something for the long term.

This Is Way Better Than Doing Paid Surveys!

Lifestyle FreedomNo matter what survey platform you join, iPoll or another one, you’re only ever going to make some spare change for your time. It won’t even be enough to be considered a supplementary source of income.

Instead of surveys, if you want to make some useful money, there is a much better way that you can do it from home – Affiliate marketing.

I’ve been doing it for years and it’s my fulltime money earner without me needing to work fulltime on it. If you do what I did and follow some training, it’s actually pretty easy to make money as an affiliate.

Let’s look at a few advantages of doing affiliate marketing:

  • All you need to start is a computer and the internet
  • You don’t need money to get started
  • This gig can also be run on a shoestring
  • You’ll build a number of sources of income
  • No buying and selling, just promoting and earning commissions
  • Be your own boss working from home
  • Have no limits of your earning potential

That’s just for starters.

I do this as my fulltime income, and some marketers have even gotten quite wealthy with it, but you can simply do it on the side as well. All things are possible. There are definite advantages to replacing your day job with an online gig though. You have lots more freedom and get to live the laptop lifestyle.

Let’s make one more short list:

  • You’ll have both time and money at the same time
  • Make money while you sleep because of a global market
  • You’ll make residual and passive income streams
  • No more having to drag yourself out of bed to go to work
  • Travel and make money while on your journey
  • Live a fully flexible lifestyle
  • You get to spend more time with those important to you
  • And many more benefits…

To help you learn more about it and how to get started, I’ve put together a make money online (MMO) guide. Just hit up the banner below to check it out.
