Is Arise Work From Home a scam or not? I heard about this opportunity just recently and decided to look into it. There are some mixed reviews out there about Arise, and the main question has been whether you can actually make any decent money with their home business idea?

First I want to say congrats to you before we get right into this review. I say this because the very fact that you are here means you’re smart and you do some digging before making the call to actually join something.

You’re far less likely to ever get conned or waste your time by doing that.

Intro…

The thing I love the most about the internet is it’s given me the opportunity to earn a fulltime income from my own home. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this before. These days though, we can all gain access to a marketplace that’s global and runs 24/7. That’s pretty amazing.

I saw some talk online about the Arise opportunity and it got me really interested because it sounded a little different. I just had to look into it and write a review about it.

What Is the Arise Work From Home Opportunity About?

The Arise platform originally kicked off back in 1994, so it’s been around for quite a while now. It’s run by the parent company called Arise Virtual Solutions, Inc., and has an A+ rating on the BBB website.

Arise is headed by CEO Scott Etheridge, is based in Florida, and currently has around 260 employees, plus tens of thousands of skilled service providers.

The whole concept of the platform is to connect business with small call centres, designed to handle things like customer service calls, tech support and all sorts of other customer enquiries.

Instead of the companies having their own fulltime staff on hand to field the calls, they can just contact Arise and organise a member to handle these calls as the need arises.

Instead of Arise hiring employees to field all these phone calls, they contract the work out to people like you and I. This is not like doing transcription or filling out paid surveys, and this is not like a paid job where Arise employs you.

If you want to become a virtual call center for Arise, it’ll be like starting your own business and contracting your services out to Arise as an independent contractor. They then feed you the clients that need someone to field their phone calls.

Just be sure to understand that you don’t get a job with Arise, but you have to create your own company before you can take on any of their work.

How Does Arise.com Really Work?

Arise is the middleman between the companies requiring some customer service outsourcing, and those people willing to take on the call center work as a home business, or even a business that uses a real office.

Some people may even outsource the call center work to VAs in the Philippines and just skim a little profit off the top.

To get started as a contractor for Arise there are 5 steps to take:

1. Register your business/company
2. Undertake a certified training course to learn what to do
3. Establish an account with the Arise platform
4. Agree to and sign a non disclosure agreement (NDA)
5. Review your work options and choose a company to work with

The first step is likely something that’ll put a lot of people off from bothering to do this. Setting up a company is not a simple process and a bit of effort to go to just to try the call center work that Arise has to offer.

It’s not impossible to do by any means, but a hassle for anyone just looking for a way to make some extra cash online in their spare time. Arise certainly isn’t that kind of opportunity.

You definitely have to then embark on some call center training once you have your company established, otherwise you won’t have a clue how to successfully fulfil the needs of your clients.

The other steps are straightforward, but before you can get going, Arise requires you to have the right equipment and setup before you can get started.

 

 

What You Need To Run Your Business

There is actually quite a detailed PDF document that Arise has that outlines the equipment and specs required for you to do work for Arise and their clients.

Basically you’ll need the following:

• Computers
• Headsets with microphone
• Software
• Fast internet
• Landline phone service
• Arise Secure Desktop
• Arise Virtual Gateway

There is a bit to putting together a call centre, whether there is only going to be one person or more involved in fielding the calls.

 

The Job Itself

It really depends on the company you end up teaming up with, but for the most part you’ll be making and receiving phone calls.

Calls could involve things like:

• General customer service
• Fielding complaints
• Taking sales enquiries
• Tech support
• And more…

Depending on what the company you’re working with requires, you can often decide on what hours each day your “call center” will be open for business. You don’t necessarily have to do this as a fulltime thing. It can be done on a part-time, flexible basis.

The real trick is in finding the right client to work with, where the actual work appeals to you as well as the hours you can work.

 

 

How Much Money Will You Make?

Okay, so you have to actually set up a company to join the Arise deal, as well as get some essential equipment together. So after all that you want to know that you’re going to be making good money.

So what kind of pay rates can you expect?

You can expect payment twice per month, at the middle of the month and the end of the month. This occurs via direct deposit into your bank account.

Now this is the disappointing part as far as I’m concerned, after all you have to go through to join this deal and get set up. Depending on the work you perform and the company you work for, you can only expect to receive between $9 and $14 per hour for your efforts.

To me those rates are pitiful, considering you’re actually establishing a fully fledged business.

You might earn a little extra per hour if you field calls during the night or on public holidays and weekends, but even then the rates are still very ordinary.

Apparently the average monthly earnings for working with Arise are only around $1000 a month, or $250 a week.

If it were me, I’d never bother doing this.

Some Complaints About Arise

Generally the company has a very good reputation and people seem to quite like working with Arise, however there are some common complaints too.

Apparently the customer service number on the Arise website never gets answered. When you, as a contractor, encounter any issues, you can’t just call up Arise and talk like with someone to help resolve the issue. It’s all done via chat and email instead.

A lot of people also complain about the pitiful earnings, which is absolutely no surprise to me.

 

Target Market

This is aimed at people looking for some sort of home business they can do without actually having to set everything up or find their own clients. I mean, there is some setting up to do, but Arise has already taken care of some of it, plus they have the available clients.

This is definitely NOT targeting anyone looking for something simple to do from home to earn some extra dollars in their spare time.

 

 

What I Do Like

• The call center from home idea is a new one for me, so at least it’s different
• The Arise company has been going strong since 1994
• They find you the clients so you don’t have to actually solicit for work
• There is a degree of flexibility working with Arise
• They pay twice monthly by direct bank deposit

 

What I Don’t Like and Red Flags

• You must be a resident of the US or UK to join Arise as an independent contractor
• The rates of pay are terrible considering you’re running your own company to do this
• There is a lot of equipment and expenses to run a call center
• You have to first set up a company to work with Arise and their clients
• There are recurring monthly fees

 

How Much Does It Cost To Join Arise?

Okay, so it’s not free to be a part of this platform. You actually have to pay Arise $39.50 per month to use their platform and software.

Arise actually estimate that you’ll spend anywhere from $250 to $770 to get started. This will obviously depend on what equipment you need to get or already have. You also have to spend some money on establishing a company.

They also estimate your monthly recurring expenses will be somewhere around $120 a month.

Your initial training will also cost you $99.

 

Is Arise Work From Home a Scam or Legit?

This is definitely not a scam, but it is a business and not some simple work at home opportunity. You’ll need to spend some time and money getting set up for this.

The biggest negative for me, apart from having to establish an actual company, is that the pay rates are really woeful as far as I’m concerned. I wouldn’t operate a full on business for those rates. That’s like wages, even less in many cases.

For people looking for something simple that doesn’t cost anything to do, then Arise isn’t offering that. For people looking to establish a home business and you have some capital, then maybe this is an option.

There’s nothing wrong with Arise and what they’re doing. I don’t give it my full recommendation though, because there just isn’t anywhere near enough money making potential for my liking.

For me affiliate marketing is my fulltime income generator, and I love it that way because of all the lifestyle benefits it gives me. It’s even possible to get quite wealthy from doing this, as I know some marketers who make 7 figure per year incomes.

You don’t have to do it fulltime though. It’s an awesome way to make extra cash as a side hustle.

There isn’t even a limit on what you can earn because, unlike a regular type of job, you aren’t trading your time for money.

To change your life you have to do something different, and affiliate marketing worked for me.
