Firstly, congrats on finding your way to my review here. It shows you’re one of the smarter ones that does their homework before joining anything. That’s great, because you’ll rarely waste your time on a dud money making scheme or get scammed online.

One of the things I really love about the internet is all the possibilities it gives us to make money from home. Because it’s global we can make money 24 hours a days. Which is pretty awesome when you think about it. The world’s never been like that before.

Unfortunately, because there are so many people turning to the internet to find a way to make a dollar or ten, many scammers have invented dodgy money making schemes just to try and suck people in. We always have to be wary.

One of the primary motivations I had for making my website you’re now reading was to help people find decent and legit ways to make money on the internet. That’s why I write so many reviews about make money products and training programs that allegedly teach people how to make money online.

These reviews help us all make wise decisions and avoid scams.

Very recently Bizrate Rewards came onto my radar because I saw people talking about it on social media. It got me interested in checking it out and writing a review on it.

What Is Bizrate Rewards All About?

This is yet another in a long stream of GPT (get paid to) websites that seem to be springing up all over the internet these days. It’s actually been going for about 16 years, so it’s one of the older sites like the ever popular Swagbucks.

Well, the name suggests it’s a rewards type of GPT site, but when you actually have a read of their website, the only way you can earn rewards is by participating in paid surveys.

Yes, you technically earn rewards when you successfully complete a survey, but it’s not a typical rewards site where you can do a whole bunch of different things to gather rewards points.

There is no playing fun games, downloading and testing apps, joining offers or anything like that, just surveys.

But that’s okay.

There are probably more paid survey sites around than there are GPT sites, so Bizrate Rewards is yet another one.

Surveys are a way for companies to gather important market research, and Bizrate Rewards acts as the portal between these companies and those people looking to earn some cash by answering the survey questions.

Doing paid surveys is okay, but it’s really not the best way to swap your time for income. There are much better ways. Click here to discover what I do to make passive income online.

 

 

How Does Bizrate Rewards Really Work?

It’s totally free to join Bizrate Rewards and become a survey participant, so the first step is to create an account and fill out all of the profile questions.

This is important, because it gives the platform more information about who you are and they are better able to match you up with appropriate and relevant surveys. It’ll also mean you’ll likely get more surveys to do the more thorough you are.

Once you’ve done all that you’re officially a member of Bizrate Rewards.

Now you have to wait for your first survey to be sent to your email inbox, because there’s no dashboard of available surveys to pick and choose from. This platform doesn’t work that way.

That’s all you can do, because there’s nothing else to do or play around with on the Bizrate site.

Chances are you won’t receive many surveys at first, maybe one a week, but generally once you’ve done a few successfully, you’ll get given surveys to complete more frequently, maybe about 3 per week.

All the surveys will vary in length and can run anywhere from around 5 minutes to complete, and up to maybe even an hour. There’s no absolute time. It really depends on how fast you read and answer the questions too.

 

 

How Much Money Will You Make?

The honest answer is you won’t make much money by doing paid surveys on Bizrate Rewards, or most other survey platforms for that matter.

Each reward point you earn on the Bizrate site is only worth $0.001. Yes, that’s one tenth of a cent per point. That means you need to earn 1000 points before you’ve made $1.

I haven’t actually done any surveys on the site as yet, but from my research, apparently the average amount of rewards points per survey only amount to 50, which is 5 cents.

The Bizrate site says surveys pay anywhere from 50 points right up to 5000 points. So that’s 5 cents up to $5.

In order to be able to redeem your points and “cash out”, you need to reach a total of 5000 rewards points, or $5.

There is no getting paid in actual cash with Bizrate Rewards. You can only redeem points for gift cards.

Some of the options for gift cards include:

• Toys ‘R’ Us
• Apple
• Amazon
• Home Depot
• Walmart
• Target
• And more…

At least the gift cards are for big name stores and brands, so you’ll definitely be able to find something you want.

However, a $5 gift card isn’t going to buy much, so you would really want to wait until you reach $10 or 10,000 points before redeeming.

That could take a while to reach if the average survey is only 50 points. I think they’d average higher than that, to be honest. 50 points just sounds really low.

Bizrate Rewards has been going longer than most other survey platforms, and they wouldn’t have lasted that long if they continually paid that low.

What I Don’t Like About Paid Surveys

For starters, you can spend quite a bit of time answering a bunch of qualifying questions, only to them get screened out before doing the paid part of the survey. This means you’ve totally wasted your time and have earned nothing.

The amount of time you can spend doing paid surveys really is a poor exchange for your precious time. On average, when you consider the pay rates of most survey sites, you’d be lucky to average making around $3 an hour for your efforts.

At times surveys will glitch out part of the way through and you can’t finish them. Once again you’ve wasted time because you earn nothing for an incomplete survey.

Another issue is that surveys are not always available and can be very few and far between at times, making it take forever to reach a cash out level. Then there’s a waiting period to get your cash or gift card.

Also, keep in mind that if you receive a survey invite in your email, you’ll have a limited time period in which to accept it and complete it. Once the survey has filled its quota of participants, you’ll receive a message stating that the survey is full.

 

Target Market

Anyone looking to make some small change online might be attracted to doing paid surveys. They’re really easy to do and are generally all multiple choice types of questions.

The main downside is the very poor pay rates. Like I said, you’ll be lucky to make about $3 an hour doing this. I’ve done quite a few in the past on different platforms, and that would be the average earnings.

If you joined quite a few sites it might add up to a bit of useful cash, but you’ll be wasting a lot of time doing it.

• You can make a very small amount of money doing paid surveys

• Doing surveys is an easy, no brainer way to earn small rewards

 

What I Don’t Like and Red Flags

• The surveys aren’t often enough
• The pay rates are really low, even for surveys
• There is no option to get paid out in actual cash, just gift cards
• The platform is only open to USA residents
• Doing surveys is a pretty poor way to spend your time online

 

 

Does It Cost Money To Join Bizrate Rewards?

You don’t have to pay anything to join the Bizrate Rewards platform and partake in filling out paid surveys. You wouldn’t want to have to pay a joining fee either, with the amounts Bizrate pays.

 

Is Bizrate Rewards Legit or a Scam?

Bizrate Rewards is a totally legit survey platform. There’s nothing scammy about it whatsoever. It’s really just your typical survey platform, just one out of many that you can find on the internet.

Doing paid surveys really is a very bad way to make money online if you want to make full benefit of your time.

They’re very labour intensive, boring and monotonous to do after a while, and the pay rates on this particular platform can be so low that you have to ask yourself the question: Is it worth it?

I don’t think paid surveys are worth it if the goal is to make useful money. I’ve done them in the past, but never waste my time on them anymore and I really don’t recommend you do either, but it’s up to you.
